My name is Lucas Halbert, and I am the creator of Grassroots Racing News. I fell in love with racing when I was four years old and that love has never ceased. I currently attend Belmont Abbey College in pursuit of a bachelors in Motorsport Management. I am set to graduate in December of 2023. When I am not studying, I am working for numerous teams in racing. I operate social media for Mounce/Stout Motorsports, Dave Mac-Barnhill Motorsports, and Gabe Yacono Racing. As of March 2023, I am an intern at NASCAR Cup Series team Spire Motorsports in the Partnerships and Sales department.

        The idea of GRN came to me when I was laying in bed one night, and the next morning I got to work on creating GRN. I first started on Instagram and quickly decided that was not enough, so I ventured to Facebook. I then had thoughts of starting a website. My momma told me I did not know how to create a website, I had to prove her wrong, and here we are now. I plan on covering all areas of grassroots racing from Pro Late Model's to Modifieds to Micros to Silver Crown and everything in between. I  am dedicated to providing the best news and information about grassroots and local racing as possible.
