Ace McCarthy and Jesse Colwell to Tackle T-Town Midget Showdown with MSW Motorsports

Tulsa, Oklahoma (4/5/2021)... Ace McCarthy and Jesse Colwell will both be making their first appearance on the USAC National Midget trail in 2021 at Port City Raceway with MSW Motorsports.

Jesse Colwell

Colwell will be making his MSW Motorsports debut on April 9th in the No. 14H. The 22-year-old from Red Bluff, California boasts a POWRi National Championship from 2019 when he ran with Keith Kunz Motorsports. Since 2017, Jesse has racked up 2 wins, 17 Top 5's, and 32 Top 10's in 54 starts between the USAC and POWRi National Midget schedules.

While Colwell hasn't competed in a outdoor Midget event since February 2020, it hasn't been long since he has been behind the wheel of one. Jesse took part in the 2021 Chili Bowl Nationals with Robert Dalby Motorsports where he made it to the E-Main.

Colwell has only attempted one race at Port City in a Midget, witch was back in 2019. He was unable to make the feature, but feels more confident this time around, "We were able to get a few practice laps there before the Chili Bowl with Robert (Dalby), I think we'll have a good run."

Ace McCarthy

McCarthy a three-time winner with the POWRi National Midgets will be making his first USAC National Midget start since September of 2020. In a handful of Midget starts at Port City, Ace has picked up 1 top 10's and 2 top 15's.

After finishing runner up to Jake Neuman in the POWRi National Midget points, McCarthy competed in the Chili Bowl with Dave Mac Motorsports. There he finished made it all the way to a 12th place B-Main finish on Saturday night.

This Friday and Saturday night the Tahlequah, Oklahoma native will make his debut with MSW Motorsports in the No. 15X at Port City Raceway for the T-Tow Midget Showdown. If you would to watch live you can do so on FloRacing with a subscription.
