Kutztown, Pennsylvania (8/4/2021)... It took a hot minute for the main event of night two of Eastern Midget Week to fully get underway. After tempers flared on lap one, it was Daison Pursley (Locust Grove, Oklahoma) doing the cage dance in the end at Action Track USA.

Not one circuit had been completed before the red flag was displayed for a flipping Justin Grant (Ione, California native went tumbling after Emerson Axsom (Franklin, IN) made contact with Thomas Meseraull out of turn four. Meseraull would then lose control and go into his teammate. Grant tossed out the steering wheel as soon as he came to a rest and was ok.

However, T-Mez had an issue with the young Axsom. Meseraull got out of his car and ran over to Axsom, yelling at him and had to be separated by USAC and track officials. Both RMS Racing drivers' nights were finished after the lap one incident.

After a slew of cautions. and a green flag run got going, so did the racing. Pursley held a good and comfortable lead for a while, but the laps started to wind down and lap traffic started to thicken.

Emerson Axsom was all over Daison Pursley with ten laps to go. The two traded sliders back and forth for a a trio of laps. Once Pursley had begun to pull away from Axsom, lap traffic got hot and heavy.

Pursley was able to squeak through just quick enough to stay away from Emerson Axsom and take his second career USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget win at Action Track USA.

Points leader Buddy Kofoid filled up the podium while kiwi Hayden Williams and Chris Windom made up the Top 5. Alex Bright picked up the Hard Charger Award of the feature after going sixteenth to sixth.
