Franklin, Indiana (12/2/2021)... Emerson Axsom will be taking on the USAC National Sprint Car schedule by storm next year with Clauson-Marshall Racing.

2022 will be Emerson's first full-time season with CMR, but it won't be his experience behind the wheel of one of their cars. The Franklin, Indiana native, took over the reins of the Clauson-Marshall #39BC Non-Wing Spring Car in August, scoring a Top 10 in his first out at Lincoln Park Speedway. In ten starts, Axsom scored six Top 10's'. An impressive stat line for a rookie.

Not only will Clauson-Marshall have a new full-time driver, but they will also have a new full-time number. CMR is switching the #47, the number was Bryan Clauson's, the son of team owner Tim Clauson.

Starting in February, Emerson will take on the full USAC National Sprint Car Tour. His first sprint car start outside of Indiana will be Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida for the 13th Annual Winter Dirt Games, February 15th through 17th. "I am super excited to join Clauson-Marshall Racing and to be running full-time. The speed we had in the short amount of races we've been together was great. I can't thank everyone at CMR enough.

When Axsom isn't in the sprint car for Clauson-Marshall, he will be back in the Midget, making select starts throughout the year. It was also announced that he would hop in a wing sprint car when it fits the schedule.

Emerson's sponsor for the year means a lot to many people, Driven2SaveLives. "It is an honor to represent Driven2SaveLives and Indiana Donor Network through dirt track racing and to keep Bryan Clauson's legacy going."

Axsom has taken the next step in his career, and it is a good one. Look for Emerson Axsom to compete for Rookie of the Year with the USAC National Sprint Cars in 2022.
