Franklin, Indiana (12/20/2021)... Emerson Axsom is will be taking on the 2022 Chili Bowl Nationals with Clauson-Marshall Racing in the Driven2SaveLives, ZMAX Racing Products #39BC.

For the last two years, Axsom has been running Midgets with Petry Motorsports, running a full-time USAC and part-time POWRi National Midget schedules. Emerson picked up his first National Midget wins in 2021, two with USAC and another two in POWRi competition. Axsom's season ended with a fourth-place finish in the USAC National points standings.

Before Axsom hits the USAC National Sprint Car tour with Clauson-Marshall Racing in February, he will pay a visit to the Tulsa Expo Center for the 36th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals. Last year in his rookie year, Emerson finished 14th on his preliminary night. That put him in a C-Main on Saturday night, where he was able to gain seven spots place to eighth. Despite the valiant effort, he was unable to transfer. This time around, Axsom enters as a national Midget winner and much more experienced behind the wheel.

Emerson's experience should match up well with Clauson-Marshall's at the Chili Bowl. CMR has had at least one driver make the event's finale the past six years. Last year CMR had three drivers make the A-Main of Saturday evening, tied for second-most amongst teams.

Young drivers tend to make giant leaps in their second year. "I feel with the USAC National Midget year I had and the consistency I showed, we should be good right out of the gate. Having chemistry already with Clauson-Marshall from running the Non-Wing Sprint Car at the last quarter of the season will be a big advantage as well."

Emerson Axsom is poised to do so as well and contend in the Clauson-Marshall Racing, Driven2SaveLives, zMax Racing Products #39BC at the 36th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
