Pursley Wins iRacing Chili Bowl Special on FS1

The final Wednesday Night iRacing race on FS1 took place tonight (5/6) at the virtual Tulsa Expo Center home of the annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals with Daison Pursley winning.

Three-time Chili Bowl winner Christopher Bell was in charge of getting drivers to participate. Asking many of dirt racing´s biggest stars and, drivers from other types of racing participated as well such as Ron Capps and Scott Speed.

The night started off with three heats and the top three from each advancing straight to the A Main. Logan Seavey won the first heat, Pursley the second, and Christopher Bell the third. The top six advanced from the D to C, C to B, then B to A, creating the alphabet soup.

Zeb Wise sat on the pole while his Keith Kunz Motorsports teammate Cannon McIntosh started on the outside of him. Wise led the majority of the race with cautions here and there but was never seriously pressured by McIntosh until 4 to go.

McIntosh threw a slider and Wise bounced it off the guard rail slowing himself down, allowing McIntosh to make contact with Wise. They both flipped and Pursley took the lead sneaking below with just 4 laps left. On the green-white-checkered restart Pursley jumped out from Robert Dalby and the Locust Grove, Oklahoma native took home the win.

The man moving up through alphabet soup the most this evening was Jake Neuman traveling all the way from the C-Main to finish fourth in the A-Main.
