Talin Turner set for Midget debut with Chandler Grand Prix

Piedmont, Oklahoma (8/14/2022)... 2022 has been a year of learning and growth for Talin Turner and Grady Chandler. Turner started his own race promotion business, T2 Promotions, bringing the Milestone Outlaw Nationals to life at Port City Raceway in July, while Chandler began the journey of race team ownership with his own Chandler Grand Prix. This fall, the two are coming together in search of continued growth within their careers.

Next weekend, Turner will make his National Midget debut with Chandler Grand Prix. Turner will pilot the Melmark Pipe & Supply - Checkered Flag Trucking #00 for the Grady Chandler-owned team in nine races.

Recently Talin spent time with Chandler at Port City Raceway getting comfortable in a Midget, “The biggest difference is the size of the car and the power it has compared to a Micro Sprint. I started to get comfortable with the differences during our test, and I am looking forward to my first weekend in Angus Proving Services - Sonny’s Grocery #00.”

Turner, a NOW600 Sooner Speedweek Champion, begins his time in a Midget with a POWRi National Midget doubleheader on Friday, August 19th at Charleston Speedway and on Saturday, August 20th at the ‘Mighty’ Macon Speedway.

Following the POWRi Illinois Midget weekend, Turner and the CGP #00 head to Lake Ozark Speedway for the Fall Midget Nationals on September 3rd & 4th. The next races include a trio of Sooner State appearances at Tulsa Raceway Park (9/9), Port City Raceway (9/10), and I-44 Riverside Speedway (9/24).

The duo’s nine race spree concludes on a delightful trip to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex on September 30th and October 1st.
